GENERAL MANAGER BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION I ( AUTHORITY AND ITS DELEGATION )

SUBJECT :               1.01    AUTHORITY AND ITS DELEGATION


GENERAL PRINCIPLES

·         The Hotel General Manager should be the legal representative of XXX XXX Entertainment Centre Indonesia Hotels & Resorts.
·         With respect to the Owning Company, his / her authorities should be defined by the management contract between the Owning Company and XXX XXX Entertainment Centre Indonesia Hotels & Resorts. The General Manager shall report any situations with the Owning Company which exceed his / her competence to the CEO, and in his / her absence, directly to the appropriate officer at XXX XXX Entertainment Centre Indonesia Head Office.
·         The General Manager alone should be responsible to XXX XXX Entertainment Centre Indonesia Hotels & Resorts for the management of the Hotel. He / she manages the day-to-day operations of the Hotel and may not make any commitment in the name of XXX XXX Entertainment Centre Indonesia Hotels & Resorts without an express and special delegation from Head Office.
·         In order to carry out the day-to-day administration of the Hotel, the General Manager may delegate all or a part of his / her authorities, on a permanent or temporary basis, to his / her direct reports. Delegation of powers may not involve the proxy banking authorizations that should be normally set up by XXX XXX Entertainment Centre Indonesia. Also excluded from this delegation should be any major decisions, such as:
·         Decisions committing responsibility of the Owning Company, the Operating Company or XXX XXX Entertainment Centre Indonesia
·         Decisions concerning investment expenditures other than those provided for in the    provisional budget.
·         The General Manager may only delegate his / her authorities to the Deputy General Manager / Executive Assistant Manager, Heads of Department and Section Heads. These members of staff must be included in the Hotel Organizational chart.
·         The delegation of authorities to the Operations Manager / Hotel Manager / Assistant General Manager or Executive Assistant Manager may be general.
·         The delegation of authorities to others Hotel staff shall always be limited and be in relation to the assignment of that person within the Hotel.
·         Authority must be delegated to the position rather than the individual member of staff, e.g. delegation of authority to the Sales Manager and not delegation accorded to Mr. X, Sales Manager. Each delegation of authorities must be formulated in writing and signed by the General Manager. A copy of the signed document should be to be given to every person to whom authorities have been delegated. One copy should be sent to XXX XXX Entertainment Centre Indonesia) in cases of a permanent general delegation.
·         The General Manager can revoke a delegation of authorities at any time.
